The bill entitled an Act making appropriations for the
support of the State Government for the year ending the 31st
day of December, 1874,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Loane submitted the following amendment :

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Under head "Inspections," line 32, after the word "the,"
insert "two State Inspectors of Steam Boilers, fifteen hundred
dollars each—three thousand dollars.

Pending the consideration whereof,
On motion of Mr. Joyce,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill, with pending amendment, made the order of the day for
to-morrow, Tuesday.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
settle the claim of William A. Tolly,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 12, of Article 28,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "County Com-
missioners," and re enact the same with amendments, &c,
so as to read as follows,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 46, of Article 28,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "County Com-
missioners," sub-title "Private Roads," and to re-enact said
section with amendments,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Brace submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 5, after the words "as follows," insert the
following: "Provided, That such repeal shall not affect any
appeals pending under the section hereby repealed, but the
practice in any such pending appeal shall conform to the pro-
visions of this Act."

The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
