AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

SECTION 6. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect at
the expiration of the time for which the present Commissioners
were elected.

The proposed amendment was adopted, and the hill, as
amended, read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for rendering judg-
ments of Justices of the Peace, for making them liens upon
real estate and chattels real, and to provide for the issuing
of executions and scire facias thereon, when so recorded, to
be numbered section 71 and section 72, of the Article of the
Code of Public General Laws,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act proposing an amendment to the
Constitution of the State of Maryland,

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Keech moved to strike out the enacting clause of the
bill.

Which motion was rejected.

The bill was then read a second time and ordered to he en-
grossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland Hor-
ticultural Society,

Being upon a second reading,

On motion of Mr. Keech,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
