980 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 28,

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, Chairman of a Select
Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Baltimore county to grant rights of way through the jail
lots of said county to the Towsontown Rail Road Company,
and to the Maryland and Pennsylvania Rail Road Company.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Pruitt, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported with-
out amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to the Act
of 1865, chspter 157, entitled an Act to incorporate the town
of Newton, in Worcester county, authorizing the Town
Commissioners of Newton to build a lock-up within the limits
of said town.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Brace, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add certain new sections to the
Code of Public Local Laws, Article 1, entitled "Allegany
County," to be placed under a new sub-title to said Article,
to be called "Building Associations."

Whichwas read a first time.

Mr. Riley, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Harford Savings
Bank of Harford county,

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Pruitt, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported with-
out amendments

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Trustees of the Union Academy, in Worcester county, to
convey and transfer all the property, both real and personal,
belonging to said Trustees, to the Board of County School
Commissioners of Worcester county, and also to authorize
and empower the Board of County School Commissioners of
Worcester county to sell certain real estate.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Watkins moved a reconsideration of the vote by which
the bill entitled an Act to repeal section 15, chapter 150, of
the Act of 1872, entitled an Act to provide for the inspection
of steam boilers in the City of Baltimore, was rejected on
Tuesday last.
