Referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Pruitt submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Coulbourn, of Somerset, be excused un-
til Tuesday on account of urgent business.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Lamar submitted the following order:

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that when the
vote was taken on the Local Option Bill, to lay on the table
the motion to reconsider the vote postponing the bill, had
Mr. Williams from Caroline been in his seat, he would have
voted "nay."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Seth submitted the following, order:

Ordered, That this House sit on Monday, Tuesday, Wed-
nesday, Thursday and Friday evenings of next week to con-
sider local bills; that the counties be called in accordance
with the roll, and shall each be permitted to present one bill
upon a second or third reading; the sessions to begin at eight
o'clock.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Gordy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That J. J. M. Gordy be granted a leave of ab-
sence until Tuesday next, for the purpose of attending to im-
portant business.

Mr. Stake submitted the following order :

Ordered, That all petitions from Washington county, in
favor of the Local Option Law, and referred to the Committee
on Temperance, or Committee on Ways and Means, be with-
drawn, and referred to the Washington county delegation.

Williams has been absent from his seat on account of sick-
ness.
