Mr. Cooper, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
without amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the sale or
lease to the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, of a part of
a lot in Baltimore City, belonging to the State of Maryland,
located at the intersection of Fremont and Chatsworth streets,
and known as the "State Hay Scales Lot."

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Brace, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom was
referred

The bill entitled an Act to authorize a reduption of the
capital stock of the New Central Coal Company,
Reported the same without amendment.

Which was considered.

Mr. Buchanan, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom
was referred

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county to pay Codling
& Lishears, contractors for building the new Almshouse in
said county, the sum of two hundred dollars, and to repeal so
much of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed -
January session, 1872, chapter 368, as may be Inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act,

Reported the same without amendment.

Mr. Hawkins, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 41, 42 and 43, of
Article 9, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Charles County," sub-title "Fences."

Mr. Brace, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 138, of Article 26,
of the Code of Public General Laws, as enacted at January
session, 1868, chapter 471, entitled "Corporations," sub-title
"Mining and Other Purposes," and to re-enact said section
with amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciarv.
