NEGATIVE.
Messrs.

Henkle, Valliant, Koons,
Bird, Pruitt, Annan—6.

No quorum being present, Mr. Koons moved a call of the
House.

Mr. Matthews moved that the House do now adjourn.
Decided in the negative.

The question then recurring upon the motion submitted by
Mr. Koons,

A call of the House was ordered.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members:

Messrs, Hines, (Speaker,) Colton, Merritt, Henkle, Nut-
well, Bird, Turner, of Calvert, Lancaster, Matthews, Merry-
man, Seth,Valliant, Duer, Gordy, Latchford, Robey, Pruitt,
Merrill, Koons, Miller, Nicodemus, Annan, Grafton, Lee,
Riley, Dawson, McCosker, Stewart, of Baltimore city, Gill,
Fenton, Berry, Freaner, Watkins, Wier, Wack, Park,
Waters, Galt, Brown, Maclin, Stewart, of Howard, Leonard,
Bedsworth—43.

Mr. Leonard, Chairman on the part of the House, of a
Committee of Conference, submitted the following Report:

Your Committee, appointed by the Hon. Speaker on the
9th instant, to confer with a similar Committee on the part
of the Senate, respectfully reports that a conference was had
between said Committees on the 14th instant, and that said
Committees agreed to certain amendments in House bill, to
provide for the purchase of a site on which to erect a Court
House and Jail in Wicomico county, which bill, as amended,
is herewith reported to the House of Delegates as a substi-
tute for the original bill.

Which was adopted.

Said bill was then read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Howard,
At 11 o'clock, P. M. the House adjourned.
