A bill entitled an Act to add sub-sections to Article two of
the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundle Coun-
ty," sub-title "Annapolis," to provide a Board of Police
Commissioners for Annapolis city.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Latchford, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to the
Public Local Laws of Prince George's county, entitled
"Sheriffs."

Which was read a first time.

Charles J. Pennington, Esq., Assistant Secretary of State,
delivered the following message from his Excellency the
Governer:

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

Annapolis, March 16th, 1874.
To the House of Delegates:

I have the honor to inform you that I have approved the
following House Bills:

No. 60. A bill entitled "An Act to alter and amend the
charter of the Hampshire and Baltimore Coal Company, in-
corporated by an Act entitled 'An Act to recognize the Hamp-
shire and Baltimore Coal Company,' a corporation created by
and existing under the laws of the State of West Virginia, as
a corporation in the State of Maryland, and to authorize it to
exercise the powers and privileges of a corporation within the
State of Maryland, for 'mining and other purposes,' passed at
January session, 1864, chapter 295, by repealing the second
section thereof, and amending the same and re-enacting it as
amended."

No. 75. A bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 287,
of the Act passed at January session, 1870, entitled an Act to
repeal section 810, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, chapter 367, passed at January session, 1867, and to
re-enact the same with amendments."
