The Secretary of the Senate deliverel the following mes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

March 11th, 1874.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully request your Honorable Body to return to
this House the House bill entitled "An Act to repeal so
much of the Act passed at January session, 1870, chapter
434, entitled an Act to extend the jurisdiction of Justices of
the Peace in and for Dorchester, Kent, Caroline, Calvert,
Carroll, Queen Anne's, Anne Arundel, Prince George's,
Harford, Charles and Worcester counties, to cases of assault
and battery, and to extend the right of appeal so far only as
the same relates to Kent county."

Which was read.

Mr. Seth submitted the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 11th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message, asking the return of House
bill entitled an Act to repeal so much of the Act passed at
January session, 1870, chapter 434, entitled an Act to ex-
tend the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace, &c., and here-
with return the same.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to Senate, together
with the bill named therein.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following tills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 287, of the Act
passed January session, 1870, entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 810, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, chap-
ter 367, passed at January session, 1867, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
