Birds," in Baltimore county.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED

Amend title of bill by striking out the words "rabbits and
partridges," in the first line of the title.

Amend body of bill by striking out the words "any rab-
bit or," in the third line of the first section of bill, the
word "robin" in the fifth line of the same section, and the
word "partridge" in the sixth line of the same section.

Strike out the words "any rabbit" in the second line of
the second section of the bill.

Strike out the words "any rabbit or," iu the second line
of the fourth section of said bill, and the words "and suffici-
ent" in the third line of same section.

The amendments were adopted, and the bill, as amended,
read a second time.

Mr. Seth, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported with-
out amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the construc-
tion of fire-proof vaults in the court-house at Easton.

Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 81, of Article 20,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to "Talbot
County," sub-titie "Easton," and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, Chairman of a Select
Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Baltimore county to pay Codling
& Lishears, contractors for building the new almshouse in
said county, the sum of two thousand dollars, and to repeal
so much of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at January session, 1872, chapter 368, as may be in-
consistent with the provisions of this Act.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Miller, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,
