So the order was adopted.

Mr. Williams submitted the following order,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that when the
vote was taken on Mr. Gill's Resolutions concerning the
"Supplemental Civil Rights Bill," that Mr. Williams was
laboring under a misapprehension of their purport, and upon
further consideration would have voted "aye."

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Stake,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Stake, Seth and Wier, to re-
port a bill to compensate Jacob Socey, of Washington county,
for the arrest of the murderers of Henry Miller, in Allegany
county.

On motion of Mr. Sudler,

Leave was granted to the Somerset delegation to introduce
a bill to authorize the Governor to appoint an additional
Justice of the Peace for Tangier District, in Somerset county.

On motion of Mr. Hodson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to add an additional section to the 41st Article
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Justices of the
Peace," sub-title "Supersedeas."

On motion of Mr. Cooper,

Leave was-granted to the Committee on Claims to report
a bill to pay Henry C. Larrabee, Agent of Caroline Iron
Works, for work and materials furnished the State.

On motion of Mr. Matthews,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation, to
report a bill to protect fish in the Great Gunpowder River,
in Baltimore county.
