No. 60. An Act to alter and amend the charter of the
Hampshire and Baltimore Coal Company, incorporated by
an Act entitled an Act to recognize the Hampshire and Bal-
timore Coal Company, a corporation created by and existing
under the laws of the State of West Virginia, as a corpora-
tion in the State of Maryland, and to authorize it to exercise
the powers and privileges of a corporation within the State
of Maryland, for mining and other purposes, passed at Janu-
ary session, 1864, chapter 295, by repealing the second sec-
tion thereof, and amending the same and re-enacting it as
amended.

No. 71. An Act to repeal section 180, of Article 30, of the
supplement to the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Sabbath breaking, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Mr. Waters presented the petition of Dennis H. Maynard,
William W. Mittin and twenty-eight other citizens of New
Windsor, Carroll county, Maryland, in favor of a Local
Option and Damage Law.

The petition of Samuel Hoffman, Mordecai C. McKinstry
and thirty other citizens of New Windsor District, in Car-
roll county, in favor of a Local Option and Damage Law.

Which were severally read and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on Temperance.

Mr. Vanderford presented the petition of William Weekly
and Nicholas Plowman, soldiers of the war of 1812, asking
a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr Merryman presented the petition of Ruth P. Griffith,
widow of Howard Griffith, Jr., to have her name restored to
the pension list.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr Gordy presented the petition of William J. Smith,
Joseph H. Bell and Tilghman W. Lankford, praying for an
Act of Incorporation for a Wharf Company.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.
