have been instituted under the provisions of the Article
hereby repealed.

SECTION 39. And be it enacted, That nothing in this Act
shall be construed so as to apply to Worcester county.

The proposed amendments were severally read and adopted.
Mr. McCosker submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

SECTION 40. And be it enacted, That nothing in this Act
shall be construed to prohibit vessels from seeking harbor in
any waters of this State.

Which was adopted.

The House then resumed he consideration of section 16,
which had been passed over informally.

Mr. Bond submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 16, line 3, strike out the word "out," after the
word "oysters," and insert the words ''taken from the
waters;" in 7th line, strike out all from the word "one" to
the word "bushels," in the 9th line inclusive, and insert the
following: "the sum of fifty cents;" and in the 10th line,
strike out the words "the same," and insert instead thereof
the words "said boat;" and in the 21st line, strike out the
words "carry oysters out of," and insert "engage in carrying
oysters in;" strike out the word "October," in line 22, and
insert "September."

The proposed amendments were severally read and adopted.

On motion of Mr. Bond, (the rules being suspended,)
The House resumed the consideration of section 33.
Pending which,
Mr. Bond submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 33, line 7, strike out the words "to buy and carry
oysters beyond the limits of the," and insert the words "en-
gaged in carrying oysters taken in this."

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading, and,

On motion of Mr, Stewart, of Baltimore City,
Said bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed.
