ture, and with many years experience in that department,
and the other assistant, a Virginian, with the highest testi-
monials for qualification and fitness for her position. The
prospect for future accessions of pupils is very flattering, as
several applications for admission have already been made
after the steamers commence running. This institution is a
necessity for our people, and has proven itself well worthy of
your favorable consideration.

On motion by Mr. Lloyd,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 441,
passed at the January Session, 1870, relating to Officers'
Fees, so far as the same applies to Talbot county.

On motion by Mr. Phelps,
The Senate adjourned.
