The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following roes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

March 2nd, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates'.

We have received your message in relation to a House bill
entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of
Wicomico county to borrow money on the credit of the county,
for the purpose of purchasing a site on which to erect a Court
House and Jail, to issue bonds for the payment of the same,
and to levy taxes on the assessable property of the county to
redeem said bonds and pay interest thereon, and respectfully
decline to concur therein.

Which was read.

Mr. Leonard submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 9th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate ;

We have received your message in reply to one from this
Body, asking you to reconsider your action on House bill
entitled an Act authorizing the Commissioners of Wicomico
county to borrow money on the credit of the county, for the
purpose of purchasing a site on which to erect a Court
House and Jail, to issue bonds for the payment of the
same, and to levy taxes on the assessable property of the
county, to redeem said bonds and pay interest thereon, which
you have declined to concur in.

We would respectfully ask a Committee of Conference, and
have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Leonard,
Bedsworth and Seth.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Also,

Returned the bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Me-
chanicstown Hall Company, in the town of Mechanicstown,
Frederick county,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendments."

The amendments were severally read and adopted, and the
bill, as amended passed by yeas and nays, as follows:
