General Assembly of Maryland to a bequest contained in
the last will and testament of Amelia Matthews, (colored,)
late of the City of Baltimore, deceased, to the Rev. Mr. Mil-
ler, the Priest in charge of St. Frances Xavier Colored Ro-
man Catholic Church, located in Calvert street, near Pleasant
street, in the City of Baltimore, or to his successor, for the
use and benefit of said church.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on the Judiciary.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of
Sharpstown, Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs. Beds-
worth, Leonard and Sudler.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment
of a certain sum of money to Charles H. Gibson, State's At-
torney for Talbot county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate the sum of
fifteen hundred dollars for refurnishing the rooms of the
Court of Appeals of Maryland.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 20, of
chapter 322, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January session, 1867, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Worcester and Somerset Rail Road Company.
