Mr, Madia submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Select Committee to whom was referred
the memorial of certain citizens of Prince George's and other
counties, praying the passage of an Act authorizing the
establishment of a new county be, and the same hereby is,
increased by adding an additional member thereof from each
of the counties now represented on said Committee ; and that
the appointment of such additional members be made by the
Speaker.

Which was adopted,

And Meesrs. Etchison, Maclin, Fletchall, Nutwell and
Merryman, added to said Committee.

On motion of Mr. Joyce,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Militia to intro-
duce a bill to repeal chapter 182, of the Acts passed at the
January session of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1870,
which was an Act to repeal chapter 414, of the Acts of 1868,
which was an Act to repeal Article 63, of the Code of Public
General Laws, relating to the militia ; and sections 652 to
770, both inclusive, of Article 4, Code of Public Laws of the
City of Baltimore, relating to militia, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Latchford,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to
introduce a bill to add an additional section to the Public
Local Laws of Prince George's county, entitled " Sheriff."

On motion of Mr. Leonard,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Leonard, Bedsworth and
Pruitt, to report a bill repealing chapter 189, of 1872, re-
lating to Salisbury Academy, and re enacting same with
amendments.

On motion of Mr. Bird,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Bird, Turner, of Calvert, and
Lancaster, to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 72, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Cal-
vert County," sub-title " Sheriff," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Bird,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill entitled an Act to
repeal the Act passed January session, 1872, chapter 193,
entitled an Act to fix the standard for the measure of oysters
in the shell in the City of Baltimore, and in Crisfield, in
Somerset county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
