On motion of Mr. Bond,

The bill was substituted for the unfavorable report of the
Committee.

Said bill was then read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Trust, Safe Deposit and Insurance Company of Baltimore,

Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Keech submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Add the following section, to come in after section 13, and
be numbered section 14:

SECTION 14. Be it enacted, That the General Assembly of
Maryland hereby reserves the right to alter, amend or repeal
this Act at its pleasure.

Make section 14 read section 15.

The amendments proposed were severally read and adopt-
ed, and the bill, as amended, read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to allow mileage to witnesses ap-
pearing before the Circuit Court for Frederick county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Lamar submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Sec. 1, line 6, after the word "attendance," add the fol-
lowing: "To be computed only one way."

The proposed amendment was adopted, and the bill, as
amended, read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional ''sub-title"
and section to Article 4 of the Public Local Laws of the City
of Baltimore, to be known under the title of "Costs," and
as section one hundred and fifty-nine and a-half of said Ar-
ticle,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act entitled an additional supplement
to an Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore, Ca-
tonsville and Ellicott's Mills Passenger Railway Company,
passed at January session, 1860, chapter 34,
