NIGHT SESSION.

FRIDAY, March 6—8 o'clock, P. M,
The House met.

Present at the call of the roll, the following members:

Messrs, Hines, (Speaker,) Bond, Colton, Henlde, Robin
son, Nutwell, Bird, Turner, of Calvert, Hawkins, Keech,
Seth, Valliarit, Coulbourn, Turner, of Cecil, Mackey, Davis,
Kemp, Pruitt, Merrill, Miller, Latnar, Nicodemus, Annan,
Lee, Williams, McAleese, Gill, Loane, Greenfield, Harig,
Groh, Fenton, Berry, Freaner, Grimes, Stake, Clark,
Watkins, Fletcball, Park, Brace, Waters, Brown, Maclin,
Leonard, Glotfelty—46.

Mr. Park, (the rules being suspended,) presented the peti-
tion of Jno. Sommevville and fourteen other citizens, against
the formation of a new county in Allegany and Garrett.

Which was read and referre'd to the Allegany and Garrett.
delegations.

Mr. Stake, (the rules being suspended,) presented the peti-
tion of thirty-four ladies of Washington county, for a Local
Option and Damage Law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on,
Temperance.

Mr. Lee, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the fol-
lowing order:

Ordered, That when this House adjourns to-night, it stands
adjourned until Monday morning at 11 o'clock.

Which was adoptea.

Mr. Leonard, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the
following order:

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Mr. Beds-
worth is absent from his seat on urgent business.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Keech, (the rules being suspended,) submitted the fol-
lowing order:

Orderd, That it be entered on the Journal of this House
that Mr. Buchanan, of Baltimore county, was prevented from
taking his seat in this House last night, from serious indis-
position, and that he is absent to-day from same cause.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Clark submitted the following order:
