Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, moved that the further
consideration thereof be postponed, and said bill be made the
order of the day for Monday next.

Decided in the negative.
On motion of Mr. Thompson,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill made the order of the day for Tuesday next, March 10th.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Judicia-
ry, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act proposing an amendment to the
Constitution of the State of Maryland.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 10 of the Code of
Public General Laws of this State, relating to "Attach-
ments," by adding thereto an additional section, relating to
the attachment of the property and credits of non-residents
of this State.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for recording judgments
of Justices of the Peace, for making them liens upon real es-
tate and chattels real, and to provide for the issuing of exe-
cutions and scire facias thereon when so recorded; to be num-
bered section 71 and section 72, of Article—, of the Code of
Public General Laws.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, to whom had been referred the bill entitled an Act
to establish the Maryland House of Correction, reported the
same with proposed amendments, submitted as a substitute for
the said bill.

The said bill, being the report of the Committee,

Was then read a first time and ordered to be printed.

Also, favorably reported,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Garrett county to borrow money on the credit of
the county, for the purpose of erecting a court-house and
county jail, to issue bonds for the payment of the same, and
to levy taxes on the assessable property of the county to re-
deem said bonds and to pay the interest thereon.

Which was read a first time.
