Which was read a first time, and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Mr. Annan, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor, to ap-
point an additional Justice of the Peace for the ninth election
district, and also an additional Justice of the Peace for the
fifth election district, in Frederick county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Henkle, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to approve an Act passed January
session, 1872, chapter 245, entitled an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county to subscribe
to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Kail
Road Company, as provided by section 54, of Article 3,
of the Constitution.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Joyce, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 287, of the Act of
January session, 1870, entitled an Act to repeal section 810,
of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, chapter 367,
passed at January session, 1867, and to re-enact the same
with an amendment.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered Senate Joint Resolu-
tions, in relation to the Boundary Line between the States of
Maryland and Virginia.

Which were read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

At five minutes to 12 o'clock, Senators Walsh and Earle,
a Committee appointed by the Senate, appeared in the House,
and through Mr. Walsh, Chairman, announced that they
were present to invite the members of the House of Delegates
to participate in the Inauguration Ceremonies of the Gov-
ernor elect.

Whereupon,

The Speaker of the House, escorted by the Committee, and
preceded by the Sergeant-at-Arms, bearing the Mace, and
accompanied by all the members, together with the officers
of the House, proceeded to the Senate Chamber, where the
Inauguration was to take place.
