reported, without amendments,
The Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Bal-
timore, Chesapeake and Delaware Bay Rail Koad Com-
pany to charge tolls on freights and passengers; to re-
duce the par value of the capital stock; to establish its
principal office in Baltimore City; to lease, levy and build
wharves, houses and shops; to charter, purchase and hold
steamships, steamboats and bargee; to provide for the con-
demnation of land and the construction of bridges and cross-
ings; prescribing penalties for injuries done to said railroad
or its property; authorizing the said Company to unite, con-
nect and consolidate with the Baltimore, Chesapeake and
Delaware Bay Bail Road, of the State of Delaware, and other
railroads in or out of this State; to lease out their own, or to
lease and operate other railroads; to issue mortgage bonds,
and to provide for the payment of the same; to reduce the
number of Directors; provide for the election of President and
other officers of the Company, and to repeal all Acts incon-
sistent with this Act.
