Said memorial was referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Keech presented the petition of Dr. R. S. Jones and
others, citizens of Baltimore county, praying for protection
against dogs.

Also,

The petition of T. J. Hayward and L. P. D. Newman, and
eighteen other citizens, against stock running at large.

Also,

The petition of Henry Broseme and others, fifty in all,
against stock running at large.

Which were severally read and referred to the Balti-
more county delegation.

Mr. Merryman presented the petition of John Bosley, of
Wm., Lewis R. Cole, Joseph B. Mitchell and thirty others,
in favor of annexing the whole of Baltimore county to Bal-
more City.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
the Extension of the Limits of Baltimore City.

Mr. Berry presented the petition of fifty-two females above
the age of fourteen, of Frederick county, praying the passage
of a Local Option and Damage Law.

Also,

The petition of Jacob H. Buhrman and other citizens of
Frederick county, praying the passage of a Local Option
and Damage Law.

Also,

The petition of one hundred and thirty females above the
age of fourteen, of Washington and Frederick counties,
praying the passage of a Local Option and Damage Law.

Also,

The petition of Horatio Harne, W. A. Riddlernoser and
other citizens of Washington county, praying the passage of
a Local Option and Damage Law.

Which were severally read and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on Temperance.

Mr. Nutwell submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Librarian be required to furnish the
members of this House with a suitable penknife.

Which was read.
