a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 138, of Article
16, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chancery,"
sub-title "Trustee," as enacted by chapter 370, of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January
eession, in the year 1870, and to re-enact the said section
with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 20, of Article 28,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commis-
sioners," sub-title "Roads," and to re-enact the same with
amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize a re-codification of
the Public General, and Public Local Laws of the State, to
provide for the payment of the same and to purchase copies
thereof when printed,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 233 of the Acts
of 1868, entitled an Act to amend the charter of the Phil-
adelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore Rail Road Company,

Being upon a second reading,
Mr. Lee submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, line 4, insert after the word "Company," the
following: "Exempting certain bridges on said railroad from
taxation."

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
