The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 233, of
the Acts of 1870, entitled an Act to repeal section 9, of
Article 28, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
the publication of county expenses, so far as the same relates
to Caroline county, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Glotfelty, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
without amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
to appoint a Notary Public in Garrett county.

Which was read a second time.

On motion of Mr. Dawson, (the rules being suspended.

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill en-
titled an Act to repeal the second section of the Act passed
January session, 1870, chapter 362, entitled an Act to as-
sess'and collect taxes on the property of the several railroad
corporations chartered by the State of Maryland, and to re-
enact the same with amendments) and to add the same to
Article 87, of the Code of Public General Laws of the State.

Said bill being upon a third reading,
Pending which,
On motion of Mr. Dawson,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill recommitted to the Committee on Ways and Means.

On motion of Mr. Gill, (the rules being suspended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill enti-
tled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Gazette Publishing
Company.

Said bill being upon a third reading,

Said bill was then read a third time and passed by yeas
and nays, as follows:
