delivered the following message from his Excellency the
Governor:
EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT,

To the House of Delegates:
I have the honor to inform your Honorable Body, that I
have approved the following House Bill, No. 44, entitled
a Act to repeal section ninety-seven, of Article eighty-one,
of Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and
to re-enact the same; with amendments;

The Speaker laid before the House the Report of Hon. D.
B. Magruder, President Baltimore and Drum Point Rail
Road Company, in compliance with the Act of 1870, chapter
281, covering certificates and affidavits of publication of the
Act of 1872, chapter 242, entitled "An Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Calvert county to subscribe to the
capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail Road
Company," and of the Act of 1872, chapter 245, entitled "An
Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Anne Arun-
del county to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore
and Drum Point Rail Road Company."
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
