Mr. Galt submitted the following order:
Ordered, That on account of urgent business, Mr. Waters
have leave of absence until Tuesday next.

Mr. Matthews submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Keech, of Baltimore county, be excused
from attending this House on Monday next, on account of
important business engagements.

Mr. Koons submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Committee on Ways and Means have
leave to sit in future during the sessions of this House.

On motion of Mr. Merryman,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judicary to
introduce a bill to amend Article 3rd of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Stay lor,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to amend section 10, of Article 56, Public
General Laws, title "Licenses," sub-title "Brokers."

On motion of Mr. Annan,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to introduce
a bill to authorize the Governor to appoint an additional
Justice of the Peace for the ninth election district in Freder-
ick county.

On motion of Mr. Groh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 56 of the Code of Public General Laws, enti-
tled "Licenses," to be section 105 of said Article.

On motion of Mr. Stake,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Cumber-
and and Ohio Canal Company.
