Mr. Joyce presented a communication from Clarence Peters,
Colonel commanding 6th Regiment Infantry, M. N. G., ex-
tending an invitation to the members of the House to witness
the Review of his Regiment by the Governor, on Wednesday
next, March 4th, on the College Grounds, at Annapolis.

The invitation accepted.
Mr. Weir presented the petition of two thousand one
hundred citizens of Allegany county, aganst the passage of
a Local Option Law.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.
Mr. Riley presented the petition of J. H. Miller and one
hundred and twelve other citizens of Harford county, asking
the jurisdiction of Justices of the Peace of Harford county be
extended to three hundred dollars.
Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.
Mr. Waters presented the petition of William R. Conway
and eighteen citizens of Frederick county, Henry Dorsey and
eleven citizens of Carroll county, to open a road in Frederick
and Carroll counties, &c.
