vide for the creation and regulation of. incorporated Compa-
nies in the State of Maryland, and to re-enact the same so as
to read as follows.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to regulate the inspection and
measurement, and to license the Inspectors of Lumber in the
City of Baltimore,

Being upon a second reading,
On. motion of Mr. Leonard,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill re-committed to the Committee on Inspections.

The bill entitled an Act to amend Article 19, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, for Somerset county, sub-title "Retail-
era," by adding after section 138 the following section, relat-
ing to the sale of liquor in Fairmount District, in said
county, to be numbered section 138 b, 138 c, 138 d, 138 e
138 f, 138 g, 138 h, and 138 i,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Sudler,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill re-committed to the Select Committee on Temperance.

The bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act passed
at January session, 1852, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Santa Clara Mining Association, of Baltimore,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Oakland Ceme-
tery Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled an Act
to incorporate the Bachman Valley Rail Road Company,
passed at January session, 1870, authorizing and empowering
the President and Directors of said Company, or a majority of
them, to issue the bonds of the said Company to an amount
not exceeding fifty thousand dollars,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled an addi-
tional supplement to an Act entited an Act to incorporate the
Trustees of the Franklin Academy or School, in Baltimore
county, passed at the December session, 1825, chapter 112,
