first, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, shall not be less
than the amount of license heretofore paid.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also, the following Senate bills,

Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled an Act to establish a Commission of
Fisheries of the State of Maryland, define its duties, and to
appropriate a sum of money to defray the expenses thereof.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on that subject.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for the relinquishment to
the United States, in certain cases, of title to, and jurisdiction
over, land for sites of light-houses, beacons and other aids to
navigation, and for the protection of beacons, buoys and float-
ing guides on the coast and in the waters of this State.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Federal Relations.

On motion of Mr. Gordy,

At 2 1/2o'clock, P. M., the House took a recess until 8
o'clock, this P.M.
