Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, reported
favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to reiund to Daniel
F. Stouffer, of Washington county, the sum of forty dollars-
paid by him into the Treasury, on or about the 13th day of
June, 1811.

Which was read a second time,

Also, reported favorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Jacob T. Mor-
gan, of Washington county, the sum of forty dollars paid by
him into the Treasury, on or about the twenty second day of
July, 1871.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Stewart, of Howard, to whom was referred the bill
entitled an Act to repeal section 25, of Article 13, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, entitled "Howard County," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and 'Constables." and to re-enact the
same with amendments, so as to read as follows,

Reported the same with proposed amendment.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add the following as section 1: SECTION 1. Be it enacted
ly the General Assembly of Maryland, That section 25, of
Article 13, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Howard County," be and the same is hereby repealed.

The amendments was adopted, and,

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Howard, (the rules being
suspended,)

The bill, as amended, was read a second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Keech,from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to give and declare the sanction of
the Generel Assembly of Maryland to the gift, legacy,
devise and bequest of five thousand dollars to the Trustees of
Waugh Chapel, in Baltimore county, Maryland, as con-
tained and mentioned in the last will and testament of John
Geddis, late of Baltimore county, deceased.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Koons, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported un-
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to prevent live stock from running
at large in Jefferson District, of Frederick county.

The unfavorable report was adopted.
