On motion of Mr. Keech,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 138, of
Article 16, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Chan-
cery," sub-title "Trustee," as enacted by chapter 370, of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, A. D. 1870, and to re-enact said section
with amendments.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Judicia-
ry, reported favorable,

A bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Crimes and Punishments."

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act authorizing the County Commission-
ers of Baltimore county to invest a certain amount of the mo-
ney belonging to said county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore
county delegation.

Also, unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to provide an Interpreter for the
Orphans' Court for Baltimore City.

The report was non-concurred in, and said bill referred to
the Baltimore City delegation.

Also, unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal all sections of the Public
General and Public Local Laws of this State, relating to Jus-
tices of the Peace within the City of Baltimore, for regulat-
ing and making uniform the compensation to bo paid for
their services.

Which was considered and referred to the Baltimore City
delegation.

Mr. Nutwell, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Oakland and
Youghioganey Kail Road Company.

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 3 and 5, of
chapter 402, of the Acts of 1867, entitled an Act to enlarge
and confirm the powers and authority of St. Mary's Indus-
