Mr. Dawson submitteed the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Thompson, of Queen Anne's county,
have leave of absence for to-morrow, to attend to important
business.

Which was adopted,
Mr. Watkins submitted the following order:

Ordered, Tbat this House, when it adjourns on Thursday,
19th instant, it adjourns until 8 o'clock, P. M. same day,
to consider bills on their third reading and final passage.

Mr. Seth submitted the following amendment:
Strike oiit 8 P. M., and insert 4 1/2 P. M.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,

It was rejected.

On motion of Mr. Joyce,
The whole subject was laid on the table.
Mr. Gill submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Committee on Ventilation be, and they
are hereby, authorized to purchase one dozen "window ven-
tilators," to be placed in the windows of this Hall; provided,
that the total cost of the same shall not exceed one hundred
dollars.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Coulbourn submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr, Coulbourn, of Somerset county, be ex-
cused from attendance until Tuesday next, on account of ur-
gent business.

Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Trust, Safe Deposit and Insurance Company of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on the subject,
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to extend the limits of
Baltimore City, by annexing a portion of Baltimore county,
and to take the sense of the people residing in said part to
be so annexed, by ballot, upon such annexation.

On motion of Mr. Clark,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill incorporating the Montgomery County Agri-
cultural Society.
