The House proceeded to the consideration of the unfinished
business of the 13th instant;

Being the bill .entitled an Act to repeal section 36, of Ar-
cle 10, oi the Public General Laws, entitled "Attachments,"
and to re-enact the same with an amendment, increasing the
amount of the exception in said section mentioned.

Said bill being upon a second reading,
Mr. Sreaner submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of line 14, section 1, add: Provided, That noth-
ing in this Act shall apply to non-resident defendants.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Keech submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add at end of section 14: Provided, That Baltimore,
Talbot, Anne Arundel, Washington, Harford, Carroll,
Frederick, Wicomico, Queen Anne's, Caroline and Dor-
chester counties, be excepted from the provisions of this Act.
