JOINT MEETING.

The Senators of Maryland, accompanied by the Secretary of
the Senate, appeared in the Hall of the House of Delegates.

The Speaker, as Chairman of the Joint Meeting, then an-
nounced that the Senate and House would now, in Joint Meet-
