Mr. Lamar presented the petition of one hundred and.
thirty-four citizens and voters of Frederick city, praying for
the enactment of certain, bills now pending before the
General Assembly.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.

Mr. Stake presented the petition of citizens of Washington
county, praying an appropriation to carry out the provisions
of the Act of 1867, chapter 372, and for an extension of its
provisions to other parties justly entitled to the same.

Also,

The petition of sundry citizens of Washington county,
praying the passage of a law taxing the shippers of butter,
eggs, poultry and calves, and enforcing the same by penal-
ties.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also,

The petition of sundry citizens of Washington county,
praying the passage of a law directing all surveys by Exec-
utors or Trustees to be made by the County Surveyor, and
to be recorded by said County Surveyor in a book kept by him
for the purpose.

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Also,

The petition of Martin Eakle and sundry other citizens of
Washington county, against a dog law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Also,

The petition of the Board of County Commissioners of
Washington county, praying authority to have a record of
all the county roads made by the County Surveyor.

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Hart presented the petition of Sarah C. Jones, 50
years of age, asking to be placed on the pension roll.

Also,

The petition of Ann Harman, 80 years of age, asking to be
placed on the pension roll.
