Mr. Charles J. Pennington, Esq., Assistant Secretary of
State, delivered the following message from his Excellency,
the Governor:

To the House of Delegates :
I have the honor to inform you that I have approved and
signed the following House Bills :
No. 10. A bill entitled an Act, to declare the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland to the devise and bequest
of Henry Butler, (colored,) late of Baltimore City, deceased,
to the Trustees of the African Methodist Episcopal Ebenezer
Church of the City of Baltimore.
No. 11, A bill entitled an Act authorizing and directing
the State Librarian to furnish from the State Library, for the
use of the Circuit Court for Garrett county, a full set of the
decisions of the Court of Appeals and of the Acts of Assem-
bly, and other books.
No. 13. A bill entitled an Act granting the assent of the
General Assembly of Maryland to a legacy granted to Trin-
ity Protestant Epircopal Church, in the City of Baltimore,
by John H. Hugg, late of said city, deceased.
No. 13. A bill entitled an Act to vest certain property
therein mentioned, in the Westminster Presbyterian Church,
of Kent county.
No. 4, A bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland to a legacy of one hundred
dollars, bequeathed by the last will and testament of Susan
Benon, deceased,late of Worcester county, to the Trustees
of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Stockton, Worcester
county, Maryland.
No. 15. A bill entitled an Act supplementary to the Act
to incorporate the Hannah More Academy, of Baltimore
county, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-seven, chapter one hundred and eighty-nine.
No. 17. A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections three
hundred and and twenty-three, and three hundred and
