So the amendment submitted by Mr. Brace was rejected.

Said bill was then read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Brace moved that the further consideration of the bill
just ordered to be engrossed for a third reading, be postponed,
and said bill be made the order of the day for Tuesday next,
the 24th instant.

Which was sustained.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act passed at the
January session, 1872, chapter 355, entitled an Act to
authorize the issuing licenses to Telegraph Companies and Ex-
press or Transportation Companies not organized under the
laws of this State, to transact business therein, and to re-
enact the same with amendments, and to add the same to Ar-
ticle 56, of the Code of Public General Laws of this State,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Staylor,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill made the order of the day for Wednesday next, 18th
instant.

The bill entitled an Act to refund to Charles G. Hanson a
certain sum of money erroneously paid into the Treasury,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
