Mr. Latchford, Chairrnan of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Hunting--
ton, Prince George's county, Maryland.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Fletchall, Chairman of a Select, Committee, reported'
i'avorably,

A bill entitled an Act for the protection of fish, for the
construction offish ways or ladders in the streams or creeks
in Montgomery county.

Which was read a s time.

Mr. Vanderford, Chairman of a Select Committee, report-
ed favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal the 107th, 108th, 109th,
110th, 112th, 114th, 115th, 118th and 119th sections of Arti-
cle 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Mary-
land, relating to the City of Westminster, in Carroll county,
and to re-enact the same in an amended or different form.

Which was read a first time.

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,

The House proceeded to the consideration of

The bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 287, of the laws
passed at the January session, 1870, and to repeal sections
810, 811 and 816 of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Baltimore City, sub-title " Police," and to re-enact
the following in lieu thereof.

Said bill being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Gill,

The vote by which the amendment to line 66, of section
810, was adopted,

Was reconsidered.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
amendment,

It was rejected

Mr. Gill submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 810, line 64, after the word "misconduct," strike
out all that follows in said section, and add the following:
" For which the said officers shall be discharged by the Board
of Police Commissioners, if they shall deem proper so to do.
