On motion of Mr. Stake,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report
a bill for the relief of Norris & Gruber, proprietors of
"Twice-A-Week," a newspaper published in Hagerstown.

On motion of Mr. Clark,

Leave was granted to the Montgomery delegation to report

a bill for the better protection of game in Montgomery county.

On motion of Mr. Johnson,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill for the appointment of a Coroner for Dorchester

county.

On motion of Mr. Matthews,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Matthews, Merryman, Riley,
C. R. Hamilton and Staylor, to report a bill to remove the
State Eastern Hay Scale to some more suitable location.

Mr. Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, re-
ported unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the payment of a sum
of money to Jno. B. Nichols, of Anne Arundel county, as
provided by Act of Assembly of 1866, chapter 108, section
3, but which law has now expired by limitation.

And the report was adopted.
Also, unfavorably,

On the petitions of H. A. Silver and A. B. Wheatley.
And the report was adopted-
Mr. Nutwell, Chairman of the Committee on Corpora-
dons, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend an Act passed at January
session, 1868, chapter 333, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Savings Institution of Sandy Spring, Maryland.

Which was read a first time.

Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the German Bank of
Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.
Also, favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled a supple-
ment to an Act approved April 6th, 1870, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry
Company of Maryland, and to grant on certain conditions
