The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,

Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"
A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 619, of Article 4,
of the Public Local Laws of the City of Baltimore, sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables," and repeal the Act
of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1868, chapter 177, re-
lating to Justices of the Peace and Constables in the City of
Baltimore, and to repeal all laws relating to the City of Bal-
timore in conflict with this section, and to re-enact section
619, of Article 4, aforesaid, in lieu of said section and
laws.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore
City delegation.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to legalize the organization of the
Parkton and Manchester Kail Road Company.

Wljich was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1, of Article 45,
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Husband and
Wife," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which, was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act entitled an
Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Allegany
county to build a new Jail in Allegany county, and for
other purposes, passed at January session, 1872, chapter 65.

Which, was read a first time and referred to the Allegany
delegation.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to enlarge and define the powers of
the Boy's Home Society of Baltimore.

Which, was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Garrett county, to provide for and defray the ex-
penses of taking the census of said county.
