referred the Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Bal-
timore, Chesapeake and Delaware Bay Rail Road Company
to charge tolls on freights and passengers; to reduce the par
value of the capital stock ; to establish its principal office in
Baltimore City ; to lease, levy and build wharves, houses
and shops ; to charter, purchase and hold steamships, steam-
boats and barges ; to provide for the condemnation of land,
and the construction of bridges and crossings; prescribing
penalties for injuries done to said railroad or its property ;
authorizing the said Company to unite, connect and consoli-
date with the Baltimore, Chesapeake and Delaware Bay
Rail Road, of the State of Delaware, and other railroads in
or out of this State; to lease out their own, or to lease and
operate other railroads ; to issue mortgage bonds, and to
provide for the payment of the same; to reduce the num-
ber of Directors ; provide for the election of President and
other officers of the Company, and to repeal all Acts in-
consistent with this Act.

Reported back the same, when,

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City,
Said bill was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported without amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of the
General Assembly of 1872, chapter 196, entitled an Act to
authorize the Comptroller of the Treasury to adjust and set-
tle the accounts due by Collectors, Sheriffs, Clerks, Registers
and other receivers of public moneys, in cases where the in-
debtedness accrued prior to and including the year 1869, by
repealing section 1 of said Act, and re-enacting the same
with amendments.

Which was read a second time.
Also,

The Senate bill entitled an act to repeal an Act passed at
the January session, 1868, chapter 209, entitled an Act to
add to the 11th section of Article 56, of the Code of Public
General Laws, a sub-section, entitled " Insurance Bro-
kers," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a second time.
Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act relating to auctioneer's in
Baltimore county.

Which was read a second time.
