On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City,

Ten copies of said Report were ordered to be printed for
the use of each member.

Mr. Kemp presented a petition respecting the opening cf
Kent Narrows, in Queen Anne's county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, presented the memorial of
C W. Pickney, Judge of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City,
giving reasons for an additional Court in Baltimore City.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Hodson presented the petition of Col. James Wallace,

Thos. W. Anderson, and one hundred and sixty other white

voters, seventy-three colored voters, and sixty-two colored

emales of Dorchester county, for Local Option and Damage

Laws.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Kemp presented the petition of two hundred and forty-
three citizens of Queen Anne's county, for alterations in the
law for taking oysters in Chester River.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ches-
apeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Lamar presented the petition of forty-four citizens of
Washington county, against enacting a law imposing a tax
on dogs.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Mackey presented the petition of Eliza Garrett, widow
of John, aged 62 years, to be restored to the pension roll.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Miller presented the petition of Wm. Z. Main and
twenty-four other citizens of Petersville District, Frederick
county, praying the passage of a Local Option Law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Setb presented the petition of Martha Jaue Nichols, of
Talbot county, to be placed upon the pension list.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
