The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize Hashabiah
Haines, of Carroll county, to settle his accounts as guardian
to William L. Haines, in the Orphans' Court of Baltimore
City, and to deliver over the estate to his said ward,

Being upon a third reading.
On motion of Mr. McColgan,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, '''Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed January
session, 1868, chapter 209, entitled an Act to add to the
eleventh section of Article 56, of the Code of Public General
Laws, a sub-section, entitled "Insurance Brokers," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.

WBich was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act relating to auctioneers in Baltimore
county,

Which, was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Ways and Means.

The hour of one o'clock, P M., having arrived, being
the time agreed upon between the two Houses to proceed to
the election of three Police Commissioners for Baltimore City,

The Senators of Maryland, accompanied by their Secreta-
ry, now appeared in the House of Delegates.

The Speaker, as Chairman of the Joint Meeting, then an-
nounced that the Senate and House would now, in Joint
Meeting, proceed to the election of three Police Commission-
ers for the City of Baltimore, as agreed upon between the two
Houses, and in accordance with the provisions of the Act of
Assembly, January session, 1874.

The Chairman appointed Mr. Lloyd on the part of the
Senate, and Mr. Stake on the part of the House, to act as
tellers.

Mr. Walsh nominated Wm. H. B. Fusselbaugh for the
term of six years.

Mr. Merryman nominated Col. Harry Gilmor for the term of
four years.
