a bill entitled an Act to alter and amend the charter or cer-
tificate of incorporation of the Oarroll County Saviugs Bank
of Uniontown, a corporation organized under the provisions
of the General Law of the State of Maryland authorizing
the formation of corporations.

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Freaner, Merryman, Hodson,
Wack and Koons, to introduce a bill to amend chapter 297, of
the Acts passed at January session, 1870, so that Commis-
sioners shall be appointed to examine the fisheries of the
State, to improve and protect the fish, and to confer and
consult with the United States Commissioner of Fish, and
receive from him the ova to stock our waters with the best
sort of fish, &c.

On motion of Mr. Lancaster,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report
a bill to refund to Luther A. Martin, late Sheriff of Charles
county, the sum of eighty-two dollars and thirty cents, erro-
neously paid into the Treasury.

Mr. Joyce submitted the following

JOINT RESOLUTION.

Be it Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor and Commander-in-Chief be, and is hereby,
authorized to dispose by sale or exchange, as he may judge
best, of all military property now in hand, which has been or
may be condemned by regular inspection as unfit for issue,
and apply any proceeds that may arise therefrom to the pur-
chase of suitable arms, or such other objects for the mainten-
ance of uniformed militia, as he may deem best.

Which was read a first time.

On motion of Mr. Joyce, (the rules being suspended by
special order,)

Said resolution was read a second time, and passed by yeas
and nays, as follows:
