The bill entitled an Act for the relief of William H. Moore,
of Allegany county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at Janu-
ary session, 1872, chapter 67, entitled an Act to prevent
swine from running at large in the streets, lanes and alleys
contiguous to Burkittsville, in Frederick county, and to re-
enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Mr. Latchford submitted the following message:
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 29th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, the appointment of a Joint Select Committee,
to consist of three on the part of the House, and two on the
part of the Senate, for the purpose of taking into considera-
tion an amount to be subscribed by the State of Maryland
towards the Centennial Anniversary, 1876. We have named
on the part of this House, Messrs. Latchford, Greenfield
and Keech.

The bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Talbot county, to be entitled " Sales
of Spirituous or Fermented Liquors,"

Being upon a third reading,

Mr. Seth, (by unanimous consent,) submitted the follow-
ing amendment:

Add as Section 12 : And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Which, was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a third time and order-
ed to be engrossed,

And having been engrossed,

Was passed by yeas and nays, as follows :
