The Report of James M. Beckwith, Esq , Clerk to Com-
missioners of Dorchester county, with bill for 1872, presented
by Charles E. Hayward, Esq., State's Attorney for said
county.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

The testimony on the part of Mr. Widdicombe, in the case
of Brooke vs. Widdicombe.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Elec-
tions,

Mr. Johnson presented the petition of Capt. S. F. Tyler
and thirty-six others, praying for a uniform system of taxing
the boats engaged in taking oysters with scoops in the
waters of Dorchester county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Riley presented the petition of J. M. Streett and
thirteen other citizens of Harford county, praying the passage
of an Enabling Act authorizing the County Commissioners to
subscribe to the capital stock of a railroad through said county.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, presented the petition of
E. A. Lynch and E. V. West, asking to be restored to the
pension rolls.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Merritt presented the petition of R. W. Colder and
eighty-eight other citizens of Kent county, praying the pass-
age of a law to prevent the taking of fish in the waters of
Kent county, in weirs or ponds.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Merritt, Thomp-
son and Kemp.

Mr. Bird presented the petition of Beulah Brock and
ninety-two others, of Baltimore City, in favor of Local Op-
tion Law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Temper-
ance.
