ed at the January session, 1872, chapter 4, entitled an Act
authorizing the County Commissioners for Frederick county
to subscribe to the capital stock of the Liberty and Freder-
ick Turnpike Road Company of Frederick county, reported
the same without amendment.

Said bill was .then read a second time.

The bill entitled an Act to extend the charter of incorpo-
ration of the Baltimore and Philadelphia Steamboat Com-
pany,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Board of County
School Commissioners of Cecil county to satisfy a judgment
against the Trustees of the Elkton Academy in Cecil county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the
January session, 1872, chapter 320, entitled an Act for the
better protection of black bass and other fish in the Monocacy
River and its tributaries within the limits of Frederick county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be eagrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to enable Thomas H. Hodges to
erect a gate in the public road in Anne Arundel county,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the better protection
of partridges in Washington county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr Seth submitted the following amendment:

Strike out section 3.

The question recurring upon concurring in the amend-
ment,
