Mr. Vanderford, Chairman of a Select Committee, report-
ed favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Carroll county, in their discretion, to pay annually,
a sum of money not to exceed three hundred dollars, to de-
fray the expenses of Georgiana Young, a lunatic, during the
time of her lunacy.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bill,
endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled an Act to authorize Henry C. Lay. Bishop
of the Diocese of Easton, as such in the Protestant Episcopal
Church, in the United States of America, bis successors in
office, and his and their assigns, to hold a lot, or parcel of
land, conveyed to him by William Goldsborough and others,
by deed dated the 31st day of October, 1873, for the use and
purposes declared in the said deed.

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 25, of Article 12,
Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Collectors," and re-en-
act the same with amendments,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 872, of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore City,"
relating to the limits of direct taxation within said city, anil
to re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 4, of article 41,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Fish and Fishe-
ries," sub-title, "Head of Bay," and re-enact section 4, of
Article 41, of the Code of Public General Laws,

Was read a second time, and ordered fo be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add a new article to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Talbot county, to be entitled "Sales of
Spirituous or Fermented Liquors,"

Was read a second time, and,
