On motion of Mr. Merrill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to make valid a certain defective deed from
Mary W. E. Smith, late of Kent county, deceased, to Ara-
Janta Robins Sappington.
On motion of Mr. Pruitt,
Leave was granted to the Worcester delegation and Mr.
Seth, of Talbot, to introduce a bill to repeal section 1 of an
Act passed at January session, 1872, chapter 131, entitled an
Act for the better protection of oysters, clams, terrapins and
fish, in Synapuxent Bay and its tributaries, in Worcester
county, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Merritt,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland to certain legacies bequeathed
by the last will and testament of Levin M. Lambden, late
of Worcester county, deceased, to the Trustees of the Pitts
Creek Baptist Church, in Worcester county, Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Keech,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled a supplement 13 an Act passed by
the General Assembly of Maryland at January session, 1868,
chapter 455, to confer certain powers upon a corporation
therein named, to render effectual the said powers by the
correction of an error which occurred in said Act, and also
to extend the time for the payment of the capital stock of said
company, of (he title as coirected by this Act.
On motion of Mr. Lee,
Leave was granted to the Harford delegation to introduce
a bill to repeal section 25 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title ''Harford County," sub-title "Collectors," and re-enact
the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Robinson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to report a
bill refunding to Isaac M. Nichols a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the Treasury.
On motion of Mr. Stake,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill legalizing the bequest of Susana Welty to the
German Baptist Church, commonly known as Welty's
Church, in Washington county.
