regulating the Inspection of Tobacco."

Mr. Brattan, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact section
6 of Article VII. of the Code of Public General Laws en-
titled arbitration and award."

Reported favorably on the Senate Joint Resolutions re-
questing the Governor to grant a respite in the case of J. W.
Davis,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed .for
a third reading.

Mr. Blake presented the petition of Susannah Bond, widow of
a soldier of the war of 1812, praying that the transcript of
1870, may be corrected in which the name was transcribed
Samuel instead of Susannah, with accompanying statement
of the Comptroller.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably,

The House bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to aid in the erection of a Monument in commemora-
tion of the Confederate dead at Point Lookout.

Mr. Brattan, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled "An Act to lay out and establish a new
Election District in Somerset county, out of Lawson's dis-
trict No. 8 and Smith's Island district No. 7, to be called
Crisfield district No. 10.

Which was read the first time and ordered to be printed.

Mr. Walsh, from a Select Committee, reported

A bill entitled "An Act to add an additional, section to
Article XII. of the Code of Public Laws of Harford county, in
regard to Horses and Carriages kept at Livery in Harford
county."
